Last weekend, I went to Gary, Indiana with photographers from the "Cristoph, Art of Seeing" meetup group. We went to City Methodist Church, which was built in the 1920's and closed 1975. It's been left to decay ever since.

Even in the midst of ruin, one could still see and appreciate the beauty of this old abandoned building.

As my friends and I are going through the place and were taking photos of what's left behind, I can't help but think of the weddings, baptisms and other celebrations that were held here. I also can't help but feel sad that such a gem was left to decay.

If you liked this post, maybe your friends will like it too! Share this with them!

I love all these pictures. I think these are my favorite pictures of yours so far. There is a lot of info to process in each and everyone of them! Great color contrast, shadows and composition! Bravo!
