Agios Artemios is the church where our koumbari got married.
In Greek tradition, a "koumbaro" or "koumbara" ("koumbari" is plural) acts as the best man or the maid of honor. It can be said that the koumbaro has strong spiritual connection to the Bride and Groom and will be a part of their life forever.
Mario was the koumbaro for Eftichis and Aggeliki's wedding. I had the pleasure of meeting them and their beautiful kids for the first time last August. Spending time with them, I saw how close Mario is with their family and I understood how strong the bond is between them.
Being married to Mario, I am happy that I am their koumbara!
